PHILADELPHIA - The Hawks remain unbeaten after shutting out the Quakers 2-0 Wednesday night in their first away game of the season. Senior Nicole Antonini and junior Theresa Barbati combined for the goals.

Barbati opened up the scoring just over nine minutes into play, slipping past the goalkeeper off a pass from senior Lauren Luft. Antonini then solidified the lead with nine minutes left in the first half by carrying in the ball and beating her defender after receiving a pass from sophomore Karen Wiley.

Penn was unable to rally, leaving the second half scoreless. With the win, the Hawks improve to 3-0 so far this season, while the Quakers fall to 0-3. SJU had six corner opportunities compared to Penn's seven.

Junior goalkeeper Rebecca Cunfer earned another shutout playing all 70:00 minutes of the game and making four saves for the Hawks.

The Hawks return to action this weekend when they travel down to Virginia taking on Michigan State Saturday, September 9th at 2:00pm and then host James Madison Sunday, September 10 at 1:00pm.
