PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's Field Hockey squad was among 48 teams to receive the National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Team Award, officials announced Monday, March 5th. Programs with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher were honored with the award.

In addition to the team being recognized for their academic performance, 10 individual Hawks were named to the NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad. Those outstanding student-athletes are Charlsie Agro, Theresa Barbati, Mary Beaman, Krista Bordogna, Rebecca Cunfer, Brianne Miller, Maryann Reis, Anne Schreuders, Kellie Walter and Ashley Wolf.
