NEWPORT NEWS, VA. - Saint Joseph's freshman Carl Jones has been named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for November 22.

Jones, a 5-11 guard from Garfield Heights, Ohio, averaged 17 points and 3.5 rebounds in leading Saint Joseph's to a pair of victories over the past week. He scored a game-high 18 points in 25 minutes of action on Nov. 17 in the Hawks' 69-67 win over Holy Cross.

Jones followed that with 16 points on 3-of-4 shooting from 3-point range on Nov. 20 as SJU defeated Boston College, 84-80, in the opening round of the Paradise Jam in St. Thomas, V.I.

He tops the Hawks in scoring with 15.7 points per game.

SJU takes on Purdue on Sunday evening in the semfinals of the Paradise Jam at 8:30 p.m. EST.
