Nicole McMullen Leads Women's Track at Princton New Year's Invitational

Princeton, N.J. - Senior Nicole McMullen was named Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Performer of the Week after breaking two of her own school records at the Princeton New Year's Invitational on Friday evening.

McMullen broke her own school record in the 300m registering a 40.63 second-place finish and then followed with a league-best 18'2 1/4" attempt to take second in the long jump.

Sophomore Stefani Zabilowicz and junior Jessica Chen set personal bests and qualified for finals in the 60 meter hurdles. Zabilowicz took fourth in 9.14 while Chen placed seventh in 9.35.

In the 60 meter dash sophomore Ashley Williams placed fifth (7.96) in preliminaries, qualifying for finals and took fifth place (7.92) in finals.

In jumps Nohjay Nimpson took second with a triple jump mark of 37'10 1/4" while freshman Hannah Boyce placed fourth in the high jump of 5'3" and Erin Vanderhoof claimed fourth in the long jump with a mark of 17'2".

McMullen, Casey, Cara Quinn, and Caitlin McGrath helped SJU to a sixth place finish in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:12.88.

The Hawks will compete next at Delaware on Friday, January 8th.
