Women's Track Competes in Penn Relays

Philadelphia, Pa. - The Saint Joseph's women's track team competed in the Penn Relays at Franklin Field on Thursday through Saturday. The shuttle hurdle squad broke their own school record in the relay with a time of 1:00.95 on Friday.

Francesca D'Angelo, Jessica Chen, Stefani Zabilowicz, and Kristen Pierce broke their previous record (1:01.74) set at the Colonial Relays earlier this season to take third in their heat for a 13th overall finish.

Also setting season bests were Kristin Andrews in the 400-meter hurdles (1:04.38), the Emily Coldren, Caitlin McGrath, Kiersten Quinn, and Nicole McMullen in the 4x100-meter relay (48.19) and McGrath, Shannon Geddes, Quinn Kr., and McMullen in the 4x400-meter relay (3:53.87).

SJU also competed in the 4x800-meter relay for the first time this season with a time of 9:28.38

The Hawks compete next in the Atlantic 10 Championships on Saturday and Sunday in Kingston, R.I.
