PHILADELPHIA - Playing their final game as members of the Saint Joseph's women's soccer team, the Hawks' six seniors made a major impact as they led SJU to a 4-0 victory over Duquesne on Sunday afternoon at Finnesey Field. Senior Jen Pfeiffer accounted for a pair of goals for the Hawks, becoming the program's all-time leader (33) with her second tally.

Entering the game a goal shy of matching Ellen Stenrud's program mark of 32 goals, Pfeiffer struck instantly, taking a pass from Maggie Lupinski (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield) off the opening kick and burying a shot from the left box into the far right corner 10 seconds into the contest to make it 1-0.

The Hawks (7-7-5, 2-4-3 Atlantic 10) continued to press for a second goal, with Pfeiffer delivering a historic blast in the 31st minute. Off a throw in, sophomore Nicole King found Pfeiffer at the top of the Duquesne box. Gathering the pass and turning towards the goal, Pfeiffer booted a shot to the left edge past a diving goalkeeper to set the Hawks' record for career goals at 30:32.

Saint Joseph's extended its lead to 3-0 at 68:18 as sophomore Mo Hawkins took a pass from classmate Morgan Duffy and delivered a shot from the right side of the box that found the bottom left corner of the netting.

Saint Joseph's senior Sandra Mackey capped the scoring in the 78th minute to make it 4-0. Taking the ball down the left side, Mackey dribbled through the Duquesne defense toward the middle of the field and drilled a shot to the back of the net on the right side for her first career goal.

For the game, the Hawks out shot Duquense (3-14-1, 2-7-0, A-10) 28-5 and finished with a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.

In net, junior Christine Neal made two saves for the shutout victory.

Along with finishing as the all-time leader in goals, Pfeiffer also caps her career second all-time in points (73), while Lupinski finished eighth in points (35) and sixth in assists (10).

The Hawks also honored seniors Kayleigh Summers, Steph Maurer and Kelliann Rooney during pregame ceremonies.
