WASHINGTON, D.C. -
Sarah Fisher of the Saint Joseph's women's soccer team has been named the Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending August 16, 2026, as announced by the conference on Monday. It is the first time in her career she is receiving the honor.
Fisher recorded six points for the Hawks during a 2-0-0 week on the strength of two goals and two assists. In a 3-2 comeback win against Drexel in Wednesday's season opener, she netted the game-tying goal in the 56th minute before assisting on the game-winner in the 70th. Against Hofstra on Saturday, Fisher broke a 1-1 tie with her second goal of the week in the 51st minute. She closed her performance by taking the free kick that set up the goal that put the game out of reach as the Hawks went on a 3-1 win against the Pride.
St. Joe's is back in action on Sunday, August 23 when it travels to Easton, Pa., to face Lafayette. Match time is set for 3:00 p.m.
