• Saint Joseph's ranks second in the nation in turnovers per game, with an average of 8.6, despite committing a season-high 13 against Loyola. Jared Bynum tops the conference and ranks 35th in the nation in assist/turnover ratio with 3.08
• SJU is in the midst of four consecutive games in Philadelphia
• This is the final tuneup before the A-10 season begins but the Hawks still have one more non-conference game left, on Jan. 26 vs. Penn
• The Hawks will play in the first game of the Atlantic 10 Conference season on Thursday when they host George Mason. SJU will play its only Sunday game of the year against George Washington on Jan. 6
THE CAPTAIN, THE HERO
• Lamarr Kimble hit the game-winner with 0.4 left on the clock to lift Saint Joseph's to a 45-42 win over Loyola Chicago at The Palestra
• It was the team captain's third game-winning shot as a Hawk
• “It wasn't exactly the way we drew it up,'' said coach Phil Martelli. “But he's got a little bit of freedom, because his heart's bigger than his body.”

• The Hawks entered the Loyola game averaging just 8.3 turnovers per game, to rank second in the nation, but they committed eight in the first half alone
• SJU finished the game with a season-high 13 turnovers
• The Hawks now average 8.7 but are second in the nation behind Virginia (7.9)
TAKING CARE OF THE BALL
