MERION STATION, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's baseball team dropped the finale of its weekend series against Fordham on Sunday, falling to the Rams by a 4-1 score at Smithson Field.

Saint Joseph's (16-23 overall, 4-12 Atlantic 10) took the lead in the bottom of the second as Langston Livingston led off with a double and eventually came around to score on a two-out single by Brian Markoski.

Fordham (27-14-1 overall, 10-5 Atlantic 10) drew level in the fourth on a double by Matt Tarabek that scored Jake MacKenzie and then went ahead in the fifth as Billy Godrick singled home C.J. Vazquez.

The Hawks had opportunities in the middle innings, loading the bases in the fourth on singles by Charlie Concannon, James McConnon, and Marc Giacalone, but Fordham's Anthony DiMeglio induced a double play to escape the jam unscathed.

The Rams tacked on a singleton in the seventh on a double by Colton Snelling and a single by Jake Baker.  SJU then loaded the bases in the bottom half of the inning, but DiMeglio notched a strikeout and then a groundout to again prevent any damage.

A Justin Bardwell double in the top of the eighth brought home MacKenzie, who had led off with a single, to set the final margin for the visitors.

DiMeglio allowed one run on 10 hits in seven innings, fanning six and walking one, to earn the win.  Justin Aungst took the loss, allowing three runs in six and two-thirds innings.  Matt Mikulski tossed two shutout innings of relief for his first save.

The Hawks will wrap up their homestand on Tuesday when they host Delaware.  First pitch from Smithson Field is set for 3:00 p.m.
