Justin Moscoe won the 200m title and senior distance standout
Zach Michon continued to make history to lead the Saint Joseph's men's track and field squad at the unscored Villanova Invitational, held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Saturday evening.

Moscoe claimed the 200m title in a field of 20 in a collegiate-best and IC4A-qualifying time of 22.15, a PR by .35 seconds. The victory marks the first collegiate 200m win of Moscoe's career as the senior ties for sixth on Saint Joseph's Top-Ten Performers List in the event. The time also ranks sixth in the Atlantic 10.

Michon stepped onto the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex track as part of the Villanova Invitational on Saturday evening eyeing the program's mile title of 4:03.74, with a PR of 4:06.14 under his belt.

In a fast-paced race alongside Villanova's Nick Steele and Charlie O'Donovan and Penn's Colin Daly, Ray Sellaro, and Justin Cornetta, Michon improved upon his PR by .98 seconds to cross in an IC4A-qualifying time of 4:05.16, just 1.42 seconds off from Greg Bloom's school record (4:03.74, 1983).

Michon now moves into third on Saint Joseph's Top-Ten Performers List, behind just Bloom and Jim Norris (4:04.10, 1985). The time leads the Atlantic 10 by 1.45 seconds and ranks 36th across all of Division I milers.

Junior
Joshua Richard impressed with a breakthrough performance in the 800m, crossing in an IC4A-qualifying time of 1:53.23 for seventh in a field of 28. After crushing his 800m PR up in Boston last weekend, Richard again improved upon his collegiate-best time in the event, this time by over an entire second, to rank fourth in the Atlantic 10.

Joining IC4A qualifiers Michon, Moscoe, and Richard was sophomore
George Steinhoff, who ran a collegiate-best 1000m time of 2:28.77 to take fifth in a field of 16. Steinhoff PRed by .27 seconds for the IC4A qualification and ranks 11th in the Atlantic 10.

There were numerous additional performances of note outside of IC4A-qualifying finishes.
Junior
Vincent Giordano finished second in his 60m heat en route to an 11th-place finish in a field of 25, matching his PR from two weekends ago at Lehigh in 7.14. Giordano also long jumped for 20' 3 3/4" for a top-ten finish in the event.

David Bryant added a season-best 60m time of 7.16 in his fourth attempt of the season.

Saint Joseph's took the ninth, 10th, 12th, and 13th spots in the 400m field of 21, led by sophomore
Javier Linares' season-best time of 50.74.

A pair of rookies made impacts as
Matthew Coffey turned in a 1000m time of 2:31.11 for second in his nine-member heat while
Colin Kane's first collegiate mile timed in at 4:27.43.

After being sidelined by injury, a pair of Hawks turned in high-level performances as senior
Will Davies, in just his second 800m since December '17, won his heat to post a PR of 1:57.19 and graduate student
Tommy Higley, in his first indoor 3000m since January '18, placed third in his heat to turn in the third-fastest indoor 3000m (8:41.03) of his collegiate career.

Nicholas Ferrentino crossed in 3:22.10 for fourth in the 10-team field.

The Hawks return to action next Saturday, February 8 at the Frank Colden Invitational. Held at Ursinus College's Floy Lewis Bakes Center in Collegeville, Pa., the meet is set to begin at 9:30 a.m.
