NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Putting together one of the most complete freshman seasons in Saint Joseph's history, the Hawks'
Jordan Hall has been named to the Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball All-Rookie Team, conference officials announced on Wednesday.
One of the top distributors in the Atlantic 10, Hall paced the Hawks and currently leads all freshmen nationally in assists per game (5.7), while also topping the conference in total assists (113). Named A-10 Rookie of the Week twice this season, Hall also led Saint Joseph's in steals (25) and ranked second on the team in rebounding (5.6 rpg) and third in scoring (10.6 ppg).
The 18th Hawk to be named to the A-10 All-Rookie Team, Hall added his name to the SJU record book twice during the season. Scoring a season-high 22 points, and adding 12 rebounds and 10 assists in a 91-82 overtime victory against La Salle on February 20, he became just the fourth Hawk in program history to record a triple-double, joining Dwayne Jones (2/19/05), Rodney Blake (2/27/86) and Matt Guokas, Jr. (12/26/64). Additionally, Hall handed out 10 assists or more three times the year, putting his name alongside Jameer Nelson (eight times) and Luke Griffin as the only Hawks with three or more double-digit assist games in their careers.Â
