PHILADELPHIA – Graduate student Zach Michon (1500m) and freshmen David DelBonis (800m) and John Salt (long jump) won their individual events while Saint Joseph's 4x400m relay took down Penn at the unscored Temple Invitational, held at the Temple Sports Complex on Friday.

Michon set a new 1500m PR by crossing the finish line in 3:44.43, good for first in the field of 21. Michon improved upon his previous PR by 1.35 seconds and moved himself from sixth up to fourth on SJU's All-Time Top-Ten Outdoor Performers List in the event. That time also ranks 24th on the NCAA East Outdoor Qualifying List.

DelBonis won his first collegiate 800m in 1:56.88, crossing the finish line first in the field of 11 while Salt won the long jump in a field of four, posting a mark of 21' 7 1/2" for the victory. Both DelBonis and Salt earned their first collegiate wins with their respective performances.

The 4x400m relay crew of sophomore Ladi Bamgbose, junior Michael Welde, junior Kyle Magee, and graduate student Justin Moscoe won the title in 3:16.32, edging out Penn by .25 seconds.

Welde added a second-place finish in the 400m (49.39, field of 12) while freshmen Gavin Campbell (800m, 1:57.86 PR) and Donald Adams (LJ, 21' 0") turned in runner-up finishes in their events.

Senior Vincent Giordano led SJU in the 100m (5th, 11.18 PR) and graduate student David Bryant led SJU in the 200m (4th, 22.61) while fellow veteran Bobby Hastie crossed the 5000m finish line in 11th with a time of 14:48.95, nearly 20 seconds faster than his previous outdoor-best time in the event.

Sophomore Ryan Dao has improved upon his 400m hurdles time in each outing of the season at this point and clocked in with a season-best time of 1:00.21 while freshman Patrick Fehm finished third in the long jump (20' 10 3/4") and fourth in the high jump (6' 2 3/4").

The Hawks return to action at the Quaker Invitational next Saturday, April 17 at Franklin Field.
