PHILADELPHIA – Redshirt-freshman Jenny Sidarous posted her second straight ninth place performance, this one coming in a field of 95, highlighting cross country's Saturday at the Philadelphia Metropolitan Championship hosted at Belmont Plateau.
Sidarous was the third freshman to finish after completing the 5K course in 22:09.6.
Dylan Zuch and William Hallinan both placed in the top-fourth of the field of 104 in the men's 8K race, with Zuch crossing 14th in 30:35.6 in his season debut and Hallinan crossing 25th in 31:35.2.
Ciaran Dubeck and Paige Jacobs placed in the top-half of the field of the women's race, crossing three spots apart in 41st and 44th with respective times of 25:51.5 and a season-best 26:10.6.
Sabrina Abbruzzese also ran new season best of 28:09.8.
Kayla Nueva and Kimberly Powers both made their season debuts, clocking respective times of 30:33.3 and 33:56.8.
University of the Sciences takes the next two weekends off before returning to action at Lehigh's Paul Short Run on Friday, Oct. 1.
