GENEVA, N.Y. – Five members of the Saint Joseph's field hockey program earned NFHCA All-Region honors on Tuesday afternoon, the organization announced. Senior

Lily Santi earned First Team accolades, while seniors
Katy Benton and
Robin Bleekemolen and junior
Manu Ghigliotti were tabbed for the Second Team.
A native of Breda, Netherlands, van Tilburg was named to the All-Region First Team for the season consecutive season after being named the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year and earning her second Atlantic 10 First Team All-Conference honor in as many seasons. She was named a Second Team All-America selection a season ago as well, and has earned a spot on the Atlantic 10 All-Championship Team in both of her seasons in the Crimson and Gray.
Santi led the Atlantic 10 in goals and points and tied van Tilburg for the league lead in assists on her way to the Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Year award and a spot on the league's All-Conference First Team. The Oceanport, New Jersey, product was named the Most Outstanding Performer at the Atlantic 10 Championship and tied for the league lead in game-winning goals as well, with her fourth coming in the Hawks' NCAA Tournament win over Wake Forest.
Benton has started every game of her career on Hawk Hill and is now a three-time All-Region Second Team honoree. The Worcester, Pennsylvania, native is also a three-time Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team selection and has been named to the A-10 All-Championship Team in each of the last two seasons.
Hailing from Amsterdam, Netherlands, Bleekemolen turned in an outstanding season in the cage en route to Second Team All-Atlantic 10 honors. She led the A-10 in goals against average and shutouts while ranking among the national leaders in GAA for much of the season. She backstopped the Hawks to a total of 11 shutouts, the most in Division I.
Ghigliotti followed up her 2021 Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Year honor with another strong season in 2022. The Malvinas, Argentina, native was tabbed for the All-Conference First Team for the second time and earned her second All-Region honor after being tabbed for the First Team a season ago.
The Hawks' five honorees matched Maryland for the most in the region. NFHCA All-America selections will be announced on December 13.
The Hawks ended the 2022 season at 16-5 and won their fifth Atlantic 10 title in six seasons. Saint Joseph's was ranked ninth in the final NFHCA Coaches Poll of the season, the highest end-of-season ranking in program history, and claimed its first-ever NCAA Tournament victory.
