PHILADELPHIA – Saint Joseph's women's basketball head coach Cindy Griffin announced the elevation of Joe Logan to Assistant Coach/Director of External Operations on Monday afternoon.

"We are excited to announce Joe Logan in our new position of Assistant Coach/Director of External Operations," said Coach Griffin. "Not only will Joe be able to assist on the court with player development, but also off the court with alumni relations, donor support, education and opportunities for our student-athletes involving NIL. Joe encompasses great communications skills, knowledge of the game and ability to engage people. Joe is the perfect person to lead us and elevate our program in this ever-evolving landscape of women's basketball."

Logan has spent the last two seasons on Hawk Hill as the director of basketball operations. In his new role, Logan will rejoin the coaching staff – from where he was also an assistant from 2001-05 – as well as take on a bigger administration role as director of external relations.

Prior to his second stint at St. Joe's, Logan became the all-time wins leader in program history at Loyola (Md.) during his 16-year tenure with the Greyhounds. Before at the helm of his alma mater, Logan was also an assistant for Loyola from 1997-2001 under Patty Coyle and Cindy Griffin. Logan followed Griffin to Saint Joseph's for four seasons before his near two-decade stint with the Greyhounds.

Logan helped develop AP All-American Honorable Mention and Atlantic 10 Player of the Year Susan (Moran) Lavin during his first coaching stint on Hawk Hill. During his four years with the program, the Hawks landed seven players to the All-Big 5 team, five players to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Team, compiled 72 wins and earned two Atlantic 10 Eastern Conference titles along with two trips to the A-10 Championship game.

The Hawks begin the 2023-24 season with a home opener against Rider, taking on the Broncs inside Hagan Arena on Tuesday, November 7.
