Chin Breaks School Record in Final Day of Atlantic 10 Championships

AMHERST, Mass. – The Saint Joseph's women's track and field team concluded action in the final day of the Atlantic 10 Championships, highlighted by a school record set from Anabella Chin in the 100m hurdles.
 
SCORING PERFORMANCES
  • Anabella Chin opened the scoring on the day for the Hawks with a seventh-place effort in the 100m hurdles, crossing the line in 14.29s to set a new collegiate best in back-to-back days. The time also took Chin to the top of the SJU leaderboard, breaking the school record set in 2015 by .02s.
  • For the second consecutive day, Sydney Rose broke the 12 second barrier as the junior marginally missed out on a top five finish, placing seventh and just .03s off fifth with her 11.96s finish.
  • After a career performance yesterday in the 800m, Tess Crosan secured a point in the final with a 2:13.74 finish.
  • Chin proved to not be finished after her opening race, the freshman earning her first championship podium in her debut season with a personal-best time of 1:01.13.
  • The Hawks concluded their scoring in the 4x400m relay, the team of Kimberly Johnson, Alexis Westawski, Jacki Harding and Alexis Doherty securing eighth place with a time of 3:52.15.
 
OTHER NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
  • Katherine Sparks produced a personal-best in the 1500m, finishing with a time of 4:49.98. Ava Curry led all Hawks in the event with a 4:42.37 effort.
