The Saint Joseph's field hockey team is ranked 13th in the most recent Penn Monto / NFHCA Division I Coaches Poll released on Tuesday.
The Hawks split a pair of games last weekend, dominating Michigan State in a 2-0 win before falling to #8 Michigan by the same score.
Michigan held on to the same ranking this week, as did past Hawk opponent Virginia, which remains ranked sixth. Delaware held steady at #19; the Blue Hens will visit Hawk Hill on Sunday.
North Carolina, which visits Ellen Ryan Field on October 1, remained at #2, while future opponents UMass and Harvard moved up two spots to #18 and slipped one place to #15, respectively. Iowa remained at the top of the poll.
Saint Joseph's opens conference play on Friday when VCU comes to town. Game time is set for 3:00 p.m.
