NEW YORK, N.Y. - Saint Joseph's men's track and field finalized a two-day meet at the Columbia Challenge on Saturday, capping off the meet with five podium finishes on the weekend.
FRIDAY TRACK RESULTS
- The 60m sprint had two divisions, Adam Petersen taking the sixth-fastest time in the white division with a 7.17s finish. Gabe Lewis set a 7.15 mark in the blue division, falling short of a qualifying spot for the finals.
FRIDAY FIELD RESULTS
- Reigning Atlantic 10 Field Performer of the Week Patrick Fehm had a best attempt of 6.96m leap in the long jump, placing 10th in the 32-man field.
SATURDAY TRACK RESULTS
- Matt Coffey produced a sixth-place finish in the 3000m, setting a personal best with a time of 8:12.50. Will Rau finished in 12th with an 8:29.48 time.
- Jayden Greene edged out a competitor to take third place, his time of 49.12s beating out the fourth-place finisher by .001s. Darren Cammauf added a finish of 50.21s for 15th.
- Graham Phillips added a personal record of his own in the 800m, his time of 1:53.34 good for 10th place, a second off a top-six finish. Owen Moelter finished shortly after, crossing the line in 1:53.96. Only .06s separated Gavin Campbell (1:54.89) and Joshua Thaler (1:54.95), Thaler setting a season-best time.
- Ben Henry took home fifth in the 200m dash, setting a personal best time en route to the top-five finish as the sophomore finished with a 22.04s time. Less than a second separated third place from 39th, Cammauf (22.69s) and Like Noss (22.70s) practically inseparable in times. Jake Carruba also set a PR with a time of 22.75s, while Petersen also broke 23 seconds with a 22.98s finish.
- Noah Deckert led a group of five Hawks in the mile run, setting a new personal best time of 4:09.57 to finish in the top half of the field. Evan McGregor also set a new personal record by finishing in 4:19.65.
SATURDAY FIELD RESULTS
- Fehm returned to action on Saturday, once again taking the top spot for the second-straight week to notch a 2.08m leap in the high jump, clearing the bar in his first attempt. The 2.08m mark ties his season-best.
