Five Hawks Meet IC4A Standards at Scarlet and White Invite

BOSTON, Mass. – A host of accomplishments highlighted a noteworthy day for the Saint Joseph's men's track and field team at the Scarlet and White Invite, including five IC4A qualifications.
 
Along with the standards reached, Noah Deckert entered the top 10 as third all-time in fastest time in the 3,000m.
 
 
TRACK RESULTS
  • Gabriel Lewis posted a 7.03s finish for 17th in the 60m prelims, nearly a tenth off a qualifying time. Adam Petersen finished with a time of 7.09s time to place in the top half of the field.
  • Darren Cammauf paced a group of Hawks with his debut in the 500m, finishing 11th with a time of 1:05.10. Luke Noss finished just three-tenths off of Cammauf, placing 13th with a 1:05.40. Kevin Dennin raced to a time of 1:07.16, while Regent Walden (1:07.98) and Lleyton Winslow (1:09.85) followed behind.
  • Gavin Campbell placed 10th in the 1000m, crossing the line in a time of 2:27.75.
  • Placing in the top fourth of the field, Noah Deckert finished with the best time for a trio of Hawks in the 3000m run. Deckert placed 16th with his time of 8:07.88, setting the third-best time in program history. Kevin Jumper also ended with a top-half finish with a time of 8:25.48.
  • Matt Coffey added a fifth-place finish for the Hawks, crossing the finish line with a time of 14:27.93.
  • The Hawks finished a tenth of a second off a top-eight finish, the team of Cammauf, Jayden Greene, Benjamin Henry and Luke Noss crossing the line of 3:17.69.
 
FIELD RESULTS
  • After back-to-back wins in the high jump the last two meets, Patrick Fehm backed up his performance with a second-place finish in the event, clearing his top mark of 2.06m on the first attempt.
  • Fehm's second event of the day saw him with a best effort of 6.73m on his second leap, finishing 11th in the long jump.
