Double Digit Personal Records Highlight Men’s Track and Field’s Fastrack National

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Saint Joseph's men's track and field team added 14 personal records as the 800m team highlighted a strong performance at the Fastrack National on Friday.
 
TRACK RESULTS
  • Gabriel Lewis finished with the ninth-fastest time in the 60m dash, sixth among collegiate competition with a time of 6.95s.
  • Four personal records were set in the 3,000m, led by a near-19 second personal best set by Michael Glavin as the rookie placed 15th with the top time for St. Joe's at 8:30.95. Josh Forrest added a personal best with an 8:34.30 finish, Dawson Baptiste also taking four seconds off his previous best to come in at 8:43.68. Ryan Cichocki made his debut in the event with a time of 8:44.86, while Ian Romea rounded out a group of PRs with his 8:50.61 effort.
  • Will Rau paced the Hawks with a sixth-place finish in a pack of 105 competitors in the mile run, taking home a time of 4:08.49. Noah Deckert finished just outside of the top eight with a ninth-place time of 4:13.26. A trio of Hawks set personal bests in the event, led by Evan McGregor's time of 4:15.13. Anton Bovone added a near-eight second personal record with a 4.23.62 finish, Cole Wassell also taking over 15 seconds off his best time with a 4:44.19 finish.
  • Another strong performance saw two Hawks in the top eight of the 400m, led by a personal best time by Darren Cammauf at 48.15s to place fourth in the event. Luke Noss also added a scoring mark with an eighth-place time of 49.57s. James Mackey Jr. (50.34s) and Jake Carrubba (50.48s) finished just outside of the top 10.
  • The marquee event for the Hawks proved to be in the 800m, led by a charge of four of the top five finishes on the afternoon. Jayden Greene bested the field with a time of 1:50.90, missing out on a PR by .11s. Owen Moelter finished less than two-tenths behind his teammate to place second after a record-setting time for the senior at 1:51.05. Joshua Thaler secured fourth with a time of 1:53.29 while Gavin Campbell followed just behind at 1:54.13. Tomek Przybylak placed ninth in his debut in the event. Immanuel Rota-Talarico set a new personal best in the event at 1:57.59.
  • Darren Cammauf led a group of Hawks in the 200m, finishing with the team's best time at 22.34s to set a new PR. Luke Noss (22.65s) finished .01s faster than teammate Adam Petersen (22.66s), who set a new personal best by two-hundredths of a second.
