4x800m Relay Sets School Record at IC4A Championships

BOSTON, Mass. – The Saint Joseph's men's track and field team ended the indoor season in style as the 4x800m relay team set a new school record to cap off the IC4A Championships on Sunday.
 
SATURDAY TRACK RESULTS
  • Darren Cammauf picked where he left off at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships, the rookie qualifying for the finals with a time of 48.27s to place fifth in the 400m prelims.
  • Despite a season-best from Josh Thaler, his 11th-place time of 1:52.41 in the 800m just half a second shy of a qualifying time as the junior paced a trio of Hawks in the event.
  • Tomek Przybylak paced a pair of Hawks in the the 1000m, his time of 2:26.81 setting a new PR as the Hawk newcomer earned a spot in the finals with his sixth-place finish.
 
 
SATURDAY FIELD RESULTS
  • Patrick Fehm continued his fine form after a silver medal at the A-10 Indoor Championships in the high jump, earning the top podium spot on Saturday with a 2.06m (6'9") effort on his second attempt. Rider's Devynn Lee also hit the mark, but cleared the bar on his final attempt to give Fehm the gold in the event.
 
 
SUNDAY TRACK RESULTS
  • Cammauf returned to the track on Sunday, setting a new personal best in the 400m finals to place fourth in the event, crossing the line in 48.04s.
  • Przybylak placed sixth in the 1000m finals, only 1.15s separating the top six finishers in the event.
  • Matt Coffey nearly scored points for the Hawks in the 3000m, but marginally missed out on a top eight finish. Coffey's time of 8:13.58 was just over a second shy of a scoring finish, the Pennsauken, N.J. native placing ninth in the event.
  • The men's DMR team secured a sixth-place finish as Evan McGregor, Jayden Greene, Will Rau and Michael Glavin combined for a 9:55.99 finish.
  • The 4x800m relay team highlighted the track events for the Crimson and Gray, setting a new program record by .03s with their second-place finish of 7:29.65. The team consisted of Gavin Campbell, Graham Phillips, Owen Moelter and Josh Thaler.
  • Saint Joseph's concluded action in the 4x400m relay with the team of Darren Cammauf, Jake Carrubba, Ben Henry and James Mackey. The four finished with a time of 3:15.43 to place fourth.
