PHILADELPHIA – The Saint Joseph's men's track and field team split the squad up, taking part in the Danny Curran Invite and the Sam Howell Invitational on the weekend, with action in both meets concluding on Saturday evening.
The Danny Curran Invite was hosted by Widener, while the Sam Howell Invitational was held on site at Princeton.
DANNY CURRAN INVITE – TRACK RESULTS
- Ian Romea opened the meet with a personal best time in the 5000m with a time of 15:22.46. Carter Geer joined Romea in the opener with a finish of 15:54.85.
- Owen Moelter and Gavin Campbell needed a photo finish to separate the two of them, Moelter getting the best of his teammate to take the top spot in the 1500m with a time of 3:54.45 to set a new personal best time. Only three-hundredths separated the two, Campbell falling to second after a 3:54.48 performance. Another tight battle between teammates saw Joshua Thaler sneak past Graham Phillips for sixth, finishing in a time of 3:59.80 to set a PR. Phillips placed seventh, securing a new personal best of his own with a 4:00.11 time. Dawson Baptiste also bested his previous best time with a time of 4:02.04, while Ryan Cichocki made his debut in the event with a time of 4:03.57. Cole Wassell became the fifth Hawk to set a PR in the event after crossing the line in 4:27.14.
- James Mackey Jr. led a pair of Hawks in the 400m, finishing with a time of 51.08s. Kevin Dennin opened his first of two events on the day with a 52.08s time in the 400m.
- Immanuel Rota-Talarico bested his previous best time in the 800m, securing a second-place finish with a time of 1:57.39. Anton Bovone also set a personal best, only under two tenths off of a podium finish while settling for fourth. The freshman crossed the line in 1:57.67. Regent Walden nearly finished in a scoring position, his time of 1:58.82 seeing the sophomore place 10th. Lleyton Winslow finished with a time of 2:00.17, while freshman Colin Donahoe set a new PR in the event with a 2:01.16 finish in his early stages of his collegiate career.
- Dennin followed up his 400m performance with a 24.02s place finish in the 200m.
- The men's 4x400m relay team finished third place, the squad of Mackey, Moelter, Phillips and Thaler securing a time of 3:29.14.
DANNY CURRAN INVITE – FIELD RESULTS
- In the men's long jump, a pair of Hawks competed as Logan Henry secured a seventh-place finish with a mark of 6.64m. John Salt produced a best leap of 6.39m.
SAM HOWELL INVITATIONAL – TRACK RESULTS
- The Hawks opened action in Princeton in the 400m, three scoring finishes led by Benjamin Henry's fifth-place finish in his debut. Henry finished top spot in his heat for a 48.53s time. Michael Brittingham followed just behind with a time of 48.68s, while Darren Cammauf rounded out the trio with a 49.28s finish to place seventh. Jake Carrubba rounded out the four Hawks in the event with a time of 50.04s to set a new PR in the event.
- In the 100m, Adam Petersen was the lone competitor for the Hawks as the freshman raced to an 11.15s finish.
- The Hawks had a pair of runners finish first in their respective heats in the unseeded 800m, led by a fifth-place finish from Michael Glavin (1:56.67) in his event debut. Evan McGregor's top time in the heat was good for 15th, finishing in 1:59.35.
- Luke Noss finished in 12th in the 400m with a time of 55.48s.
- In the 200m, Cammauf led a trio of Hawks with a time of 22.39s. Brittingham followed behind by two-tenths with a new PR of 22.58s. Carrubba rounded out the group with a 22.89s finish.
- In the men's 800m elite division, Tomek Przybylak posted the best time for the Hawks with a time of 1:53.78 to set a new PR. Will Rau also joined Przybylak to cross the finish in 1:59.99.
- Colton Johnson bested his personal best in the 1500m, narrowly missing out on a scoring position with a ninth-place finish of 3:54.14.
- Three Hawks finished in the top four of the unseeded 5000m, led by a first-place finish from Kevin Jumper. Jumper's time of 14:40.41 set a new PR to lead the way for the group. Anthony Gargani was just over a second behind his teammate, finishing second with a 14:41.61 finish to set a new PR of his own. Josh Forrest also bested his previous best time with a 14:44.18 finish to secure fourth.
- In the seeded 5000m, Matthew Coffey placed fifth after blazing to a 14:23.35 time to set a new personal best to close out the meet for the Crimson and Gold.
SAM HOWELL INVITATIONAL – FIELD RESULTS
- Cameron Campbell-Miller produced his best leap of 6.83m to finish in fifth, while Donald Adam's best attempt of 6.55m was good for seventh place.

The Hawks head down to Fairfax, Va. for the first of three meets this season hosted by George Mason. The Dalton Ebanks Invitational is set for action to begin on Friday, April 5 in a two-day meet.
