Men’s Track and Field Collect IC4A Qualifying Times at the Larry Ellis Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Saint Joseph's men's track and field team returned to Princeton for the second time in three weeks as the Hawks concluded action in the Larry Ellis Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
 
 
FRIDAY TRACK EVENTS
  • The Hawks opened Friday with a group of five runners in 800m, Owen Moelter (1:52.92) and Joshua Thaler (1:53.37) recording IC4A-qualifying times to highlight the event. Graham Phillips missed an IC4A time by .11s, finishing in 1:53.65. Gavin Campbell (1:54.22) and Tomek Przybylak (1:56.24) rounded out the group.
  • Noah Deckert made his collegiate debut in the unseeded 5000m, finishing second by just over a second. His time of 14:30.65 also qualified him for the IC4A meet. Anthony Gargani placed fifth in the event, setting a new PR by nearly seven seconds with a time of 14:34.21. Josh Forrest closed out the event with a time of 15:12.23.
  • Colton Johnson set a PR for the second consecutive meet in Princeton after recording a new PR two weeks ago at the Sam Howell Invitational. Johnson finished with a time of 3:54.12, setting a new benchmark by just .02s. Will Rau and Michael Glavin also set PRs in the event, finishing with times of 3:55.93 and 3:56.71.
  • Matt Coffey closed out the night in the seeded portion of the 5000m, placing 11th and setting a new PR with a time of 14:19.95.
 
SATURDAY TRACK EVENTS
  • Evan McGregor opened Saturday's events with a new personal record in the 1500m, placing ninth with a time of 3:59.48 to break the four-minute mark for the first time. Ryan Cichocki crossed the line in a time of 4:08.70, while Dawson Baptiste rounded out the trio with a 4:18.52 finish.
  • Michael Brittingham produced a time of 48.94s to be the first of three Hawks to cross the line in order in the 400m, all separated by just .12s. Luke Noss placed 14th with a 48.99s finish, while Darren Cammauf was just behind his teammates with a 49.06s time to place 15th.
  • Regent Walden timed a 1:59.34 finish as the lone Hawk competing in the 800m.
  • Nearly his PR in the 200m, Cammauf finished with a time of 22.342 in his race to post his best time in the outdoor event.
  • Noss, Jake Carrubba, Brittingham and James Mackey Jr. closed out the meet with a third-place finish in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:18.01.
 
 
SATURDAY FIELD EVENTS
  • Logan Henry placed sixth in the long jump, his fifth leap of the day setting a new PR after producing a distance of 6.74m. Donald Adams finished 10th with a 6.57m on his third and final attempt of the afternoon.
 
UP NEXT
The Hawks take part in the Widener Invitational next weekend in a two-day meet, action starting on Friday, April 19.
