Men's Track and Field Produce at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational

FAIRFAX, Va. – The Saint Joseph's men's track and field team continued the outdoor campaign with the first of three visits to Fairfax, Va., taking part in the Dalton Ebanks Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
 
 
FRIDAY FIELD EVENTS
  • Cameron Campbell-Miller produced a second-place finish in the long jump, using his fifth attempt to leap for a best effort of 7.09m to set a personal record by more than five inches.
 
FRIDAY TRACK EVENTS
  • Luke Noss helped opened the action on the track for the Hawks in the 400m hurdles, placing fourth with a time of 55.52s.
  • Benjamin Henry dazzled in the 200m, blistering to a new PR of 21.55s to place at the top of the field in the event.
  • Owen Moelter nearly held a scoring position in the 800m, finishing 10th with a time of 1:53.66. Graham Phillips followed just behind his teammate with a time of 1:54.76 to finish 13th.
  • Ryan Cichocki made his debut in the 3000m steeplechase, setting a time of 10:00.98 for his opening mark. Teammate Aidan Doherty followed behind with a time of 10:05.65 to place 16th.
  • Colton Johnson concluded action on day one with a second-place finish in the 5000m, setting a new personal best with a time of 14:29.96.
 
SATURDAY TRACK EVENTS
  • The Hawks began Saturday's action with the 4x800m relay. The squad of Gavin Campbell, Graham Phillips, Josh Thaler and Owen Moelter cruised to a first-place finish, timing at 7:46.00 flat to end their race six seconds ahead of the field.
  • Henry raced his second event of the weekend in the 400m, placing second while qualifying for the IC4A meet in a time of 48.76s. Darren Cammauff followed closely behind in 49.19s, just shy of the IC4A mark to come in sixth. James Mackey and Jake Carruba came within 0.03 seconds of each other from heats five and four to run 51.29s and 51.32s. 
  • Adam Peterson set a new PR in the 100m with a finish of 11.26s. Logan Henry raced his first outdoor event to finish with a time of 11.42s.
  • The 4x400m relay teams both finished in the top four, as the team of Michael Brittingham, Darren Cammauf, Benjamin Henry and Luke Noss finished with the top time at 3:17.48. James Mackey Jr., Jake Carrubba, Immanuel Rota-Talarico and Regent Walden placed fourth with a time of 3:25.21.
  • Matt Coffey narrowly missed out on the top eight, finishing one spot shy as he concluded his 1500m race in 3:55.11.
  • Kevin Jumper made his debut in the 10,000m, placing third with a time 30:49.57. Jay Shanahan finished seventh in the event with a 31:35.60 time.
 
UP NEXT
The Hawks return back to action next weekend, a short trip awaiting as St. Joe's takes part in the Larry Ellis Invitational on April 12-13.
