PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Joseph's men's basketball team announced the signing of forward Al Amadou to the 2025-26 roster.
Amadou comes to the Hawks following two seasons at Marquette. As a freshman in 2023-24, he appeared in 14 games, scoring 17 points and was 8-for-12 from the floor, while earning BIG EAST All-Academic honors. He was a member of two NCAA Tournament teams for the Golden Eagles and was part of the 2024 Sweet 16 squad.
The 6-9 forward from Harrisburg was a three-star recruit coming out of Springside Chestnut Hill Academy and was the No. 3 ranked prospect in Pennsylvania according to 247sports. He graduated as the program's all-time leader in blocked shots (235) and was an All-Inter Academic League First Team as a senior. He averaged 10.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 5.0 blocks per game in 2022-23 and helped team to 17-8 overall record.
