Women’s Track Shines with Personal Bests at Scarlet and White

BOSTON, Mass. – The Saint Joseph's women's track and field team competed at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invite on Saturday inside the Boston University Track and Tennis Center.
 
TRACK EVENTS
  • The Hawks opened the meet in the 5000m with strong performances, highlighted by a pair of top-10 finishes. Jonalee Adames placed sixth with a time of 18:06.90, closely followed by Khya D'Angelo in seventh at 18:08.55. Grace Fennell finished ninth in 18:24.43, while Carlyn Segrave-Daly rounded out the group in 10th at 18:51.77.
  • In the 60m hurdles prelims, Felicia Oh led the Hawks with a time of 9.34 to place 18th.
  • The 60m dash prelims saw Tamasen Allen Bey lead the team with a 10th-place finish at 7.75. Olivia Binns followed in 19th at 7.91, Maya Adams placed 21st in 8.09, and Cecilia Abruzzo finished 25th in 8.19.
  • In the 1 Mile Run, Chloe Care recorded a personal-best performance of 5:02.88 to place 16th, while Ali Fink finished 33rd in 5:14.41.
  • The 400m featured several personal milestones for the Hawks. Samantha Walz set a personal best with a 10th-place finish in 57.12, Kendall Cooper ran her first collegiate 400m in 57.42 to place 11th, Stephanie Cristinizio finished 18th in 59.69, and Alessandra Schuster posted a personal-best 1:00.00 to place 20th.
  • In the 500m, Crystal Benito led the Hawks with a fifth-place finish in 1:17.00. Olivia Beddow set a personal best in seventh at 1:17.11, Alyssa Bloxton finished 13th in 1:18.87, and Taylor Rosen placed 15th in 1:18.97.
  • The 800m saw Karin Dobiasch lead with a fourth-place finish in 2:08.90, followed closely by Majken Lutzen in fifth at 2:09.61. Samantha Korck set a personal best in 10th at 2:11.26, Quinn O'Brien finished 11th in 2:11.30, and Sara Sherlock placed 26th in 2:25.86.
  • Chloe Care also paced the Hawks in the 1000m with a personal-best seventh-place finish of 3:00.20. Carolyn Smith ran a personal best in 17th at 3:00.98, while Ali Fink finished 23rd in 3:06.30.
  • In the 200m, Mariam Koita led the group in 15th with 25.07. Samantha Walz was close behind in 16th at 25.08, Kendall Cooper placed 23rd in 25.32, Olivia Binns finished 28th in 25.68, Tamasen Allen Bey ran 30th in 25.76, Cecilia Abruzzo placed 33rd in 26.08, and Maya Adams rounded out the event in 34th at 26.13.
  • In the 3000m, Grace Rudder led the Hawks with a sixth-place finish in a personal-best 9:50.58. Sabrina Paz followed, setting her own personal best to take 15th in 10:03.85, while Katrina Endres and Abby Tuturice each ran personal records, finishing 27th and 28th in 10:20.62 and 10:20.97.
  • In the 1500m, Chloe Care finished 15th in 4:41.82, while Ali Fink ran 32nd in 4:51.92.
 
UP NEXT
The Hawks will return to action next week, remaining in Philadelphia to compete in the Penn Invite on Friday, January 30.
