EASTON, PA (4/20/02) - The Saint Joseph's men's track team, led by junior
Jerry Puryear and freshman
Collin Martin, competed in the Lafayette Invitational this past weekend. SJU competed against Princeton, Penn, Kutztown, Bloomsburg and Cornell.
Puryear won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 52.91 seconds. Martin was also victorious for the Hawks winning the 3000 meter Steeplechase with a time 9:51.61. Senior
Marc Maccario fared well for the Crimson and Gray, placing fourth in the 400 meter (48.81).
Other highlights for the Hawks included a second place finish for the 4x400 relay team with a time of 3:21.78.
Next up for the Hawk men is the prestigious Penn Relays on Friday and Saturday, April 26 and 27.
