PHILADELPHIA (01/27/03) - Junior Nick Carras and freshman Andrew Thomas continued Saint Joseph's dominance in the Atlantic 10 weekly awards this week. Carras was named the conference's Co-Performer of the Week, while Thomas received his second nod for Rookie of the Week. It marks the fourth consecutive week that a Hawk has received an honor from the A-10. Carras qualified for the IC4A Championships by running a 22.19 in the 200m at Boston University's Terrier Invitational. He also ran a leg of the winning 4x400m relay that broke the SJU record set by the same quartet earlier this season. It is the fastest time in the Atlantic 10 this season. Thomas placed eighth in the 400m with a time of 49.04, the fastest in the conference this winter, qualifying for the IC4As. He also ran a leg of the 4x400 relay.
