LANDOVER, MD (01/04/03) - The Saint Joseph's men's indoor track and field team started off the new year at the Terrapin Invitational hosted by the University of Maryland. Competing with a young squad, the Hawks were led by a first-place finish in the distance medley relay (10:20.61).
Other top performances include a fifth place finish by senior Matt Lewis in the one mile run (4:34.00) and the 4x400 meter relay that also finished fifth overall (3:22.09).
Junior Greg Rosetti placed eighth in the one mile with a time of 4:38.41. Freshman Matt Petrocci ran a time of 2:06.37 to earn ninth place in the 800 meters and classmate David Masse finished the 3000 meters in 9:13.24, good for tenth place.
Saint Joseph's returns to action next weekend at the Fordham Invitational.
