NEW YORK, NY- The St. Joseph's men's track team traveled to New York over the weekend to take part in the first annual Armory Invitation Highlighted by a ninth place finish by James Scott in the 200 meter dash and a third and fourth place finish by the relay teams, SJU placed 13th among 20 teams, including Ohio State, South Carolina, Princeton, and Army. The 4x800 and Distance Medley relay teams led SJU on Saturday, placing third and fourth, respectively. The DMR of Joe Lanci, Andy Craycraft, Brian Rosetti, and Ben Koch posted an ICAAAA time of 10:04.01 while the 4x800 relay of Rosetti, Jeff Storch, Craycraft, and Lanci posted an ICAAAA qualifying time of 7:41.27. The 4x400 relay team of Marc Maccario, Mike McCabe, Kile Garguilo and Geoff Valentine ran strong with an ICAAAA time of 3:19.21, placing eighth overall. Scott's time of 22.32 seconds in the 200 is his season best as well as the fastest time in the Atlantic 10 this season. SJU next compete's on Saturday, January 20, at Cornell.
