CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (04/12/03) -- Senior Brian Rosetti reached IC4A and NCAA Regional standards in the 1500m Saturday at the Lou Onesty Invitational held at the University of Virginia. He completed the race in a time of 3:49.183 to finish third. SJU finished 10th out of 20 teams, while the host Cavaliers won the invitational. The 4x400 relay team continued to meet IC4A standards with their gold medal winning time of 3:13.771. Senior Tim Fisher placed 4th in the 5000m run with a time of 15:25.13. Junior Nick Carras placed 5th in the 200m (21.87), as did senior Jerry Puryear in the 400m (49.10). Freshman Andrew Thomas finished the 800m in 1:53.99 to earn 9th place, while teammate Mike DiDio was right behind him at 1:54.65, good for 11th. SJU returns next week at the Lafayette Invitational.
