PHILADELPHIA (01/13/02) - Senior Susan Moran was recognized as the Atlantic 10 Conference's women's basketball player of the week for the week ending on January 13. It is the sixth time this season that Moran has been honored, one shy of the A-10 record of seven set by Duquesne's Korie Hlede in 1997-98 and SJU's Dale Hodges in 1988-89 and 1989-90. Moran also was recognized as the Philadelphia Big Five Player of the Week. Moran scored 19 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in SJU's win over Massachusetts on Tuesday. She then netted 29 points, while also corralling 8 rebounds versus Duquesne on Friday in just 29 minutes. She scored 21 points in the first half.
