SCOTT LEADS HAWKS AT DELAWARE INVITATION

NEWARK, DE - Senior sprinter James Scott led Saint Joseph's men's track team at the Delaware Invitational over the weekend. Scott won the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.31, besting all competitors in the 26 runner field. The meet included squads from Towson, Monmouth, UMBC, Temple, Penn, Norfolk and the Host Blue Hens. Scott also finished third in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.01. Junior Matt Lewis also led the Hawks with a third place finish in the mile run, with a time of 4:24.80. Lewis bested seven of his fellow teammates, while beating competitors from Penn, UMBC, Monmouth, Norfolk and Delaware State. Senior Marc Maccario had a strong showing placing sixth in the 400 meter run (51.21) while sophomore Nick Carras placed sixth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.86 seconds.
