BOSTON, MA (03/09/03) - The Saint Joseph's men's track team closed out its indoor season with this weekend's IC4A Championships at Boston University. The Hawks finished 35th of 48 teams and second among Atlantic 10 competitors.
Freshman Andrew Thomas had the best showing, placing fourth in the 500m with a time of 1:02.54. The distance medley relay of freshman Mike DiDio, senior Jerry Puryear, sophomore Brad Schmidt and freshman Andre Laboy ran a season best time of 9:57.35 to place eighth.
Other finishers included junior Nick Carras in the 200m (22.16, 20th), senior Brian Rosetti in the mile (4:11.61, 9th), and Puryear (1:03.76, 12th) and sophomore Doug Rick (1:04.05, 15th) in the 500m.
Senior Tim Fisher also placed 26th (8:34.57) in the 3000m run and the 4x400 relay placed 14th with a time of 3:13.90.
Saint Joseph's has a week off before beginning its outdoor season on March 23 at Penn's Quaker Invitational.
