HAWKS PLACE THIRD AT LAFAYETTE INVITATION

EASTON, PA - The Saint Joseph's men's track team captured third place at the Lafayette Invitational on Satuday. The Hawks defeated Rider and Fairleigh Dickinson while Monmouth took first. Senior Marc Maccario claimed third place in both the 100 (10.99) and 200 meter dash ( 21.79) while Andy Craycraft (400 meter), Bill James (1500), Bill Hoffman (5000) and Ben Koch (3000) all finished second in their respective events. Junior hurdler Jerry Puryear was victorious for the Hawks in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 53.24. The 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams also finished second for SJU. The Hawks will head to North Carolina this weekend to compete in the Duke Invitational
