TALLAHASSEE, FL (3/14/04) -- Saint Joseph's dropped the finale of its spring trip to Florida with a 5-2 loss to Florida A&M on Sunday. SJU held a 2-1 lead going into the fourth inning, but the Rattlers hung a four-spot in the frame to defeat the Hawks.
Senior
Lindsey McNamara singled in sophomore
Jill Clementi, who had walked and stole second, in the top of the first. Florida A&M responded with a Danielle Brown solo homerun to tie the score at one.
Clementi drove in classmate
Katie McCann, who singled and stole second to start the inning. It would give SJU a short-lived 2-1 lead. The Rattlers tacked four runs on the board in the bottom of the fourth off junior starter
Cara Deldeo, highlighted by Brown's second round-tripper of the game.
Clementi had two hits for St. Joe's and freshman
Lauren Hughes tossed two plus innings of scoreless relief for the Hawks (5-11).
