LINDSEY MCNAMARA NAMED A-10 SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

PHILADELPHIA (03/25/02) - Sophomore Lindsey McNamara became the third Saint Joseph's softball player to earn a weekly Atlantic 10 Conference honor when she was named the league's Player of the Week for the week ending March 24. McNamara joins sophomore Dana Travis and freshman Cara Deldeo who earned A-10 Pitcher and Rookie of the Week, respectively, for the week ending March 17. The 5-10 sophomore second baseman compiled a .944 slugging percentage to lead SJU to a 6-1 week and help the team up its record to 16-1 on the season. The Southampton, NJ native (Bishop Eustace) launched three homers, stroked two doubles and drove in eight runs while batting .333 (6-of-18). For the year, McNamara leads the Hawks with six homers, double her output of a year ago, and 19 RBI.
