PALO ALTO, CA (06/27/02) - Saint Joseph's Collin Martin (Huntingdon, NY / Chaminade) recently placed fourth in the 3000-meter steeplechase at the Junior National Track and Field Championships in Palo Alto, CA. His personal best time of 9:31.38 landed him fourth among ten competitors in the event. Daniel Lyon of Sultana High School won the event with a 9:18.67. The rising sophomore is returning letter winner for the Hawk cross country and track and field teams. Most recently, Martin placed seventh at the Atlantic 10 Championships in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:34.75.
