BRONX, NY (2/15/04) - Standout performances by sophomores Andre Laboy, Mike DiDio, Andrew Thomas and the 4x400 relay squad helped Saint Joseph's to a sixth place finish in the University field at the prestigious New Balance Armory Collegiate Invitational. Laboy cruised past the field to win the 3000m in an IC4A qualifying time of (8:18.07), the second fastest time in the Atlantic 10 this year. DiDio, meanwhile placed second in the mile run. He circled the oval in 4:10.91 to qualify for IC4A with the second quickest time in the A-10 this season, Thomas also qualified for IC4A's in the 500, placing fifth with a time of 48.91. The 4x400 relay also improved on its IC4A time, placing second in a time of 3:15.28.
