PHILADELPHIA (05/15/03) - Senior Tim Fisher and junior Nick Carras were recently named to the outdoor track and field academic all-conference team, in voting conducted by the Atlantic 10's sports information directors. Fisher, the 2003 indoor track student athlete of the year, earns his second straight outdoor track academic all-conference honor. At the 2003 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships, Fisher placed second in the 5000m after winning the event at the 2003 A-10 Indoor Championships. The senior captain is an accounting major with a 3.66 grade point average. Carras, a member of the school record holding 4x400 relay both indoors and outdoors, was also named to the indoor academic all-conference team. The 4x400 team won the 2003 Atlantic 10 Indoor and Outdoor title, while individually Carras placed fifth in the 200m at the oudoor A-10s. Carras sports a 3.50 GPA as a pharmaceutical marketing major.
