KISSIMMEE, FL (03/13/03) - The Saint Joseph's softball team dropped two games at the Rebel Games on Thursday to fall to 2-3 on the season. The Hawks lost the first game, 4-2, to Appalachian State and dropped the nightcap, 5-4, to Indiana-Fort Wayne.
Sophomore Cara Deldeo took the loss for the Hawks in the first game, allowing three hits and four runs (one earned) in the contest. Sophomore Alicia Cunic had two hits, including a double in the game while freshman Jill Clementi drove in both Hawk runs in the loss with a two-run triple in the seventh.
SJU was rolling along in the second game, leading 4-0 with two outs in the bottom of the sixth when Indiana-Fort Wayne ran off six straight hits off Hawk ace Dana Travis to come back for the win.
Lynn Ravert made her first start at catcher and had a two-run double. Deldeo kept her streak alive recording a hit in each of SJU's five games this season.
