EASTON, PA (12/07/02) --Senior captain and last year's Atlantic 10 Indoor Track Performer of the Year Brian Rosetti kicked off his final campaign on the right foot by securing two golds at Saturday's Lafayette Invitational.
Rosetti captured first place in the mile with a time of 4:17.2, over 20 seconds better than the second place competitor. He also won the two-mile with a time of 9:21.6 and was named the Atlantic 10 Co-Performer of the Week. Junior Nick Carras was the only other SJU winner as he won the 300 yard dash in 33:16.
Sophomore Eric Chekemian placed second in the 440 yard dash with a time of 50.91, as did freshman Andrew Thomas in the 500m (1:05.69). The mile relay team also brought home a silver with a time of 3:25.0.
Carras also placed fourth in the 440y (51.31), while sophomore Kevin Glah took a fourth in the two-mile with a time of 10:18.7.
SJU is off until the new year when they compete in the Terripin Invitational on January 4, 2003.
