HAWKS FARE WELL AT PENN STATE

STATE COLLEGE , PA - The Saint Joseph's University men's track team competed at the U.S.T.C.A. Series at Penn State on Saturday, January 12. The Hawks were led by sophomore Andy Craycraft who won the 800-meter race with a time of 1:52.0. Craycraft beat competitors from Atlantic 10 rival, La Salle and bested other runners from Penn State, Seton Hall, Cornell, Villanova, Syracuse and Howard. Craycraft continued his stellar performances after last weekend's school record-breaking time in the 500. Other performers included senior Jim Smith's third place finish in the 1000 meter with a time of 2:28.4. Senior Brian Rosetti placed fourth in the mile with a time of 4:17.55, while senior Ben Koch finished fifth in the 3000 in a time of 8:35.7. Bill Hoffman nipped at Koch's heels for a sixth place finish with a time of 8:36. The Hawks will travel to Fordham on January 18 to compete in the Fordham Invitational.
