LEWISBURG, PA -After a four week hiatus, the
St. Joseph's University men's track team
competed at Bucknell over the weekend,
competing against Lafayette, Maryland-Eastern
Shore and the host Bison.
Highlighted by five first place finishes and four
second place finishes, the Hawks placed
second among the four teams.
Junior
Brian Rosetti led the Hawks, placing
first in the 1000 meter run with an Atlantic 10
best 2:31.81 while also teaming up with junior
Ben Koch, senior Joe
Lanci, and freshman
Andy Craycraft in the winning 4x800 relay. Lanci
also placed first in the mile run while Craycraft posted a winning time of
50.21 seconds in the 400 meter dash. Rounding out the SJU winners
are seniors
Karl Savage and
Geoff Valentine who won the 5000 and
the 800 meter runs, respectively.
Koch took home silver in the 1000 with a time of 2:34.69 while
sophomore
Jerry Puryear placed second in the long jump with a leap
of 21'3". Freshman
Terry O'Connell fared well in the jumps, placing
second in the triple jump and sixth in the long jump.
The Hawks will compete next this weekend at the Armory Invitation in
New York, NY.
