Men's Track Team Looks Sharp at Penn State Relays

Results

STATE COLLEGE - Fielding six relay teams, the Saint Joseph's men's track team delivered solid results at the Penn State Relays. The Hawks received top performances in the 4xMile, 4x800 and Distance Medley Relays on the Ashenfelter Track.

Both the 4xMile and 4x800 finished third overall. In the mile, seniors Collin Martin, Junior Joe Mohn, sophomore Teddy Meyers and freshman Will Rowland combined to circle the track in a time of 17:26.25. Mohn and junior classmates Mike DiDio, Andrew Thomas and Matt Petrocci ran the 4x800 and finished in a time of 7:38.90.

DiDIo and Petrocci also joined with senior Doug Rick and junior Andre Laboy in the Distance Medley, racing to fourth place in a time of 10:06.66.

Other Hawk relays which competed included the 1600m Sprint Medley which placed sixth (3:41.58), the 4x200 which finished eighth (1:37.20) and the 4x400 placed ninth (3:27.39).

Individually, freshman Bobby Staten was third in the 60m Dash in a time of 7.11. Sophomore Matt McClure was 22nd in the shot put with a toss of 28-04.75. Sophomores Joe Witiw (20:06.50) and Chris Alexander (20:05.00) placed fourteenth and fifteenth respectively in the long jump.
