Junior Mike DiDio shined in two events, placing fourth in the 1000M and 17th in the mile, and senior Collin Martin placed eighth in the 5000M, as the Saint Joseph's men's track team delivered solid results at the Penn State National Invitational.
DiDio looked sharp in the 1000M finishing just three seconds behind the overall winner with a time of 2:25.80. He also finished 17th in the Mile with a time of 4:12.68.
Martin, meanwhile also looked good as he circled the oval in a time of 14:40.12 in the 5000M.
SJU had multiple entrants in both the 800 and 3000M. In the 800M, junior Andrew Thomas finished 15th in a time of 1:54.31, while Matt Petrocci was 21st (1:55.69). In the 3000M, Andre Laboy placed 16th (8:27.99) and Joe Mohn was 20th (8:30.84).
Senior Doug Rick competed in teh 400M and placed 21st in a time of 49.40. The 4x400 relay, which included Petrocci, Rick and Thomas, along with Andrew Vandegrift, finished 13th in a time of 3:19.64
