Didio Wins 1000, Hawk Men Place 10th at IC4A Championship

BOSTON - Fresh off a third place finish at the Atlantic 10 Championships, the Saint Joseph's men's track team turned in an impressive 10th place finish at the 2005 IC4A Championships held at Boston University. Junior Mike DiDio was the days big winner capturing the 1000m. Senior Doug Rick and junior Andrew Thomas also scored big for SJU.

The A-10 champion in the 1000 and the mile, DiDio was impressive placing third in the prelims and then dusting the field in a time of 2:24.32 in the final. Rick meanwhile finished second in the 500 with a time of 1:02.80 and Thomas placed third in the 400m (47.22).

The Hawks also competed in the 4x800m relay. The team of Rick, Thomas, Dido and junior Matt Petrocci finished seventh in a time of 7:38.64.
