NEW YORK, NY - Senior Doug Rick closed out his career and led a Hawk contingent at the 2005 NCAA Track and Field East Regional Championship at Icahn Stadium on Randall's Island on May 27-28. Rick placed 13th in the 400m to lead SJU.

Rick competed in two events over the weekend. In the 400m, he finished fourth in his qualifying heat and 13th overall with a time of 47.37.

He also anchored the 4x400 relay, teaming with juniors Andrew Thomas and Matt Petrocci, as well as freshman Bobby Staten, to place 13th. The Hawks won their quailfying heat with a time of 3:11.50.

Senior Collin Martin also concluded his career over the weekend competing int he 3,000m Steeplechase. Martin placed 30th overall in the steeple with a time of 9:28.32.
