Saint Joseph's senior runner Mike DiDio was named the Atlantic 10's Most Outstanding Track Performer after Saturday and Sunday's Championships.
DiDio finished first in the 1,500m with a time of 3:50.19. The time set a new Atlantic 10 Championship record and earned 10 points towards the Hawks' total.
DiDio also placed third in the 5,000m with 14:36.70, a time that beat the previous record of 14:40.51 from last year's meet. Teammate Teddy Meyers placed first in the event setting the new record at 14:33.25. DiDio was also a member of the 4x800 team that placed second at the Championships with a 7:31.37 time, qualifying them for the IC4As.
DiDio will be one of the runners representing Saint Joseph's next weekend at the IC4A Championships where he will likely compete in the 1,500m, 5,000m and 4x800.
