PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Joseph's softball team's season-opening series at Delaware, scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, has been cancelled due to poor playing conditions. The Hawks, under the direction of first-year head coach Terri Adams, will open the 2007 campaign March 3 at the Plant City Tournament in Plant City, Florida.

Due to the wintery conditions over the past few days, the softball field at the University of Delaware was deemed unplayable. No makeup date has been agreed upon.
